Away Game - Los Medanos - 10/20/2010

Game 1: The Mustangs will start the game with the serve.  Here we go!  K9 opens it up with a nice sharp angle shot, 1-0 with Taylor to serve.  LM comes back with one in the middle, 1-1.  LM gets another one, 1-2.  They serve long and it's 2-2 with K9 to serve.  Point, 3-2.  LM gets one down, 3-3.  We let a short serve get us, 3-4.  LM hits long, 4-4 with Megan to serve.  Taylor hits wide from the back row, 4-5.  Alisha short arms a swing, 4-6.  Hailey slaps one down, 5-6 with Brit serving.  Long rally but Hailey finally puts one down, 6-6.  We send a pass in to the net, 6-7.  Bad serve receive, 6-8.  Another one, 6-9.  And another one, 6-10.  Do something ladies!  LM puts the next one in the net, 7-10 with Alisha serving.  Brit hits long from the back row, 7-11.  K9 gets one off the block, 8-11 with Hailey serving.  Defense lets one go off a shank, 8-12.  Another bad serve receive, 8-13.  This is ugly as we let another one fall, 8-14.  Move your feet on the serve and lets go make something happen!  Timeout 49er's.  LM hits long, 9-14 with Taylor to serve.  LM gets one on the line, 9-15.  They serve long, 10-15 with K9 to serve.  LM overpasses but we shank it off and give them a point, 10-16.  Alisha forces the issue and it's 11-16 with Megan serving.  Ace, 12-16.  Big stuff by Hailey and Alisha, 13-16.  Confusion on defense and we shank a pass, 13-17.  K9 hits wide from the back row, 13-18.  Alisha gets one down with the left hand, 14-18.  Brit to serve.  We overpass, but LM can't get it, 15-18.  Mustangs get one on a net dribbler, 15-19.  Hailey ends another long rally, 16-19 with Alisha to serve.  LM hits long, 17-19.  Ace by Alisha, 18-19.  Timeout Mustangs!  Alisha starts it back on the serve.  Long rally ends as we shank one off a pass, 18-20.  LM hits one in the net, 19-20 with Hailey to serve.  Ace, and it's 20 all.  K9 puts one over and the Mustangs can't get it back, 21-20.  Defense leaves a hole and LM finds it, 21-21.  LM hits in the net, 22-21 with Taylor to serve.  K9 rips one off the block, 23-21.  Timeout Mustangs!  Taylor brings us out of the timeout.  LM hits one in the net, 24-21.  Hailey hits one wide from the back row, 24-22.  LM gets one to roll off our block, 24-23.  They serve long to end the game 25-23.  Whew, that was too close.  We need to step it up and get rid of the dum-dum plays.
