Home Game vs Solano College 10 Nov 2010 - pregame

Well, here it is.  The moment of truth for this team.  We lost at Solano 20-25, 19-25 and 19-25 back in Oct.  So if we are going to make the playoffs, two things need to happen.  We can take care of the first one, BEAT Solano by more than 17 points total in 3 games.  Doable, but we need our best effort.  The second thing is out of our control, Napa needs to beat Solano in the last match of the year.  That would put us in 2nd place for league.  So the table is set and we need to do our part.  Hopefully we are focused and ready to play.  Need to move the ball around and keep our hitters engaged.  If we back off the intensity and start tipping and using roll shots, we're in for trouble.  We need to put the pressure on Solano to play defense and make them be perfect on their passes.  Hard hitting and finding the holes will create that pressure.  Don't let them run their offense at will, make them have to work to get the shots they want.  It's just that simple.  On our side, we need to hustle and play defense, nothing hits the floor!
